Parade Pride with Flags Flying.
Title
Parade Pride with Flags Flying.
Description
With rifles shouldered and U.S. flags in the hands of others, a group of soldiers marches west in a parade in the first block of W. State Street amid huge crowds. The Rockford newspaper News Tower building, constructed in 1930 at 99 E. State, can be seen in the middle of this photograph and is actually across the Rock River on the city's east side. The sign for the State Theater, 105 W. State, formerly the Palm Theater, is visible on the left.
