Ingersoll Milling Machine Company "I" Machine. This machine was manufactured for companies in New York State who were building tunnels under the New York river for the Pennsylvania Railroad. Photograph 29A shows J.L. Davidson, General Foreman of the Erecting Floor standing by the machine. Photo is part of a Machine Photo Record assembled by J.R. Johnson to show machines built by Ingersoll between 1892-1919. Most photographs are accompanied by a typed description of the machine's characteristics and specifications.
