Reverend John F. Reagan conducting Christmas mass and Holy Communion to 550 on the USS Prairie somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. John Reagan served as an Associate Pastor at St. Patrick Parish 1946 - 1950 and Pastor 1957 - 1960. St. Patrick Parish was started in 1919 when Bishop Peter Muldoon realized that the Catholic population on the west side of Rockford was increasing.
