Nelson Knitting Co. S. Main St.

This black and white interior view of the Nelson Knitting Company (1880-1992), 909 S. Main St., Rockford IL, depicts fifteen women working at knitting machines while two men stand at the back of the room. Across the bottom of the photograph is written, "Nelson Knitting Co. S. Main St. Grace 4th from front." The back is filled with fond sayings and signatures as if to signal someone's departure from the company, perhaps Grace, whose last name is unknown.
