A large group of people, men and women, pose before the Emerson-Brantingham Company, listed in the 1914 city directory as being "manufacturers of agricultural implements" located at "the south end of Independence Ave." in Rockford IL. This explains why the company played host to farmers' associations such as various granges. This photograph is contained in a folder labeled, "Visit to Implement Works, Emerson-Brantingham Company, Rockford, Illinois. Burritt Grange of Winnebago County, December 16th, 1914."
