Description
Dorothy "Dottie" Green, born April 30, 1921 and hailing from Natick, MA, was a player for the Rockford Peaches and part of their personnel in the form of a chaperone. Dottie was a catcher from 1943 to '47 when she suffered a knee injury that stopped her from playing. She continued on with the league, however, as a chaperone through the 1953 season. Since this photograph shows Dottie in a player's uniform, it was very possibly taken in her playing years between 1943 and '47. Green died on October 26, 1992.
