This photograph was identified as Rockford Peach Dorothy Kamenshek, leaning against a wall wearing a smile and sporting a baseball glove, A left-hander hailing from Norwood, OH, she played first base for the Rockford Peaches from 1943 through 1953 and was considered by many to be the finest player in the league, and often a leading batter, Additional research, however, suggests that this could be Alma Ziegler of the Grand Rapids Chick.
