This black and white photograph is of an aisle inside the Piggly Wiggly Food-O-Mat. Hundreds of jars and cans are visible on the shelves. The signs read: "ckles ([pickles]), Preserves-Jelly, Canned Fruits, Canned Fruits-Juices, Canned Vegetables-Juices, Canned Vegetables, Canned Meats-Fish, Soups, Baby Foods . . ." The Piggly Wiggly grocery store was located at 1009 W. Jefferson Street; there were several locations throughout Rockford, Loves Park, and Machesney Park.
