Chicago & Northwestern Railroad Depot, Shriner's Train Stop
Title
Chicago & Northwestern Railroad Depot, Shriner's Train Stop
Description
A train engine and cars stop at the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad Depot in Rockford at S. Main and Cedar Streets. The Shriner's symbol hangs at the front of the steam engine. It appears that dignitaries, soldiers, and police have gathered at this stop. This may have been one of the "Shriner Special" trains that transported Shriner dignitaries and their wives to special events and tours.
