This photograph, looking southwest, captures the Rockford Military Band and a large group of Rockford Police Officers waiting for President Theodore Roosevelt to arrive at the Illinois Central Train Depot on South Main Street. The President dedicated the new Memorial Hall at 211 North Main Street. Over 50,000 Rockfordians showed up for Roosevelt's visit. A similar depiction can be found in photo 88.122.811.
