Title

Rockford Parade Route at South Main and Chestnut

Description

This parade route view of men on horseback was taken from the Chestnut and South Main Street intersection looking north. Several of the riders look like they have shields and jousting lances. Note several businesses along the east side of the street: People's Bank, H. W. Buckbee at 220 S. Main, and Empire Mercantile. The William Brown building sits on the corner of South Main and Chestnut Streets. (Reference - Sinnissippi Saga, pages 59 and 411 for similar views.)
