Title

Rockford Parade

Description

A large crowd watches as members of a parade pass by on this Rockford street. It appears to be a boulevard with the Rockford Railway rails in the street. Carriages and surreys line the street on the far right. Numerous people including parade participants are using umbrellas. Some buildings peak through on the far left. This could be a GAR (Grand Army of the Republic, the Union in the Civil War) parade or a Spanish-American War (1898) parade. Photographs 88.122.587a, b, c, and d were all taken from the same vantage point. This plate is cracked.
