Description
First Lutheran Church was the first Swedish and the first Lutheran Church founded in Rockford in 1854. This photograph shows the third church building constructed by the congregation, built in 1884 and dedicated on December 7, 1884. The church still serves its congregation at 225 S. 3rd Street.
