Description
An account of the resource
Aerial view looking northeast in the northwest quadrant of Rockford, Illinois. A drainage canal that originates at Kent Creek meanders to the Rock River (at upper right to center). Kilburn Avenue runs diagonally from the lower right corner towards the left edge of the image. The Y shape building is Summerdale Elementary School, built about 1950 at 3300 Glenwood Avenue. To the right is Rockford Memorial Hospital, built about 1954, at 2400 North Rockton Avenue. Rockton Avenue Shopping Center is to the north, nestled in a curve of the drainage ditch.
