The Sinnissippi Park Lagoon was acquired by the Rockford Park District in 1909. The lagoon sits on the east side of the Rock River below Sinnissippi Park, which is to the west. This photograph was taken looking north along the path of the Rock River which runs to the left. (Reference - Sinnissippi Saga, page 376.)
