Backyard of the Fred G. and Louise Shoudy home located at 1003 North Second Street, taken from Sinnissippi Park. Sophia G. Shoudy lived in the home 1920 until her death in 1923. The address was listed in the 1917 City Directory as a farm at North Second Street near Sinnissippi Park. Fred and Louise Shoudy owned three 10-acre lots along the Rock River. About 1920, the house and lot was sold to Charlotte Belle Emerson Keith, the founder of Keith Country Day School. The architectural style is an Early Classical Revival. The front of the house is dominated by an entry way that reaches the full height of the house, with a porch roof supported by columns. Gabled dormers create a third story to the house.
