Description
A very large group of men, sixty-four unidentified individuals, make up this "Group of 1892," the workers of the West End Furniture Co. Established on July 7, 1890 by John Herman Lynn, the business was located at the corner of Factory St. and Johnson Ave. in Rockford IL. According to the Rockford Morning Star newspaper (c. 1909-1910), the company's motto was "Correct designs, correct construction, correct finish, correct price." The business closed around 1942. Notice also the lone figure visible in the upper right window.
