Harold Clark Library
The library in the Harold Clark home at 939 North Second Street. This home was designed by Rockford architect Jesse Barloga in 1933-1934. The home was designed for Lewis Harold Clark and his wife Effie. Harold Clark was the son of J. L. Clark, who founded the Rockford based J .L. Clark Manufacturing Company and served as president of the company.

Jesse Barloga Home
The home of Harold and Effie Clark at 939 North Second Street. It was designed by Jesse Barloga and built in 1934. Harold passed away February 2, 1953. Effie continued to live in the home until 1963. She passed away September 13, 1967.

The home of Harold and Effie Clark at 939 North Second Street. The home was designed by Jesse Barloga in 1934. Effie Clark lived in the home until 1963. Jesse Barloga had a strong influence on the architecture of Rockford during his career that lasted from 1919 to his death in 1947. He designed more than 450 buildings including about 100 residential homes.

Tudor Architecture
Tudor style architecture designed by Jesse Barloga and built in 1927. It is located at 807 Brown Hills Court. The identifying features of the Tudor style is the steeply pitched roof, prominent cross gables on the front, tall narrow windows and a large chimney.

Shannon and Greenberg Residences
The Harold F. and Hazel Shannon residence at 1411 Brownwood Drive, built in 1925. The architectural style is Tudor. Prominent features include the cross gables on the front of the house, the elaborate chimney in the center and the arched doorway at the left. The wall surface appears to be stucco. Harold M. and Frances Greenberg lived at 1415 Brownwood Drive at the right, built in 1926. This house may have been designed by architect Jesse Barloga and is a variation of the Dutch Colonial architectural style. A prominent feature is the gambrel roof.
