A photograph of William "Bill" Allington's All-Americans in front of a touring car. Allington (1900-1966), a Rockford Peaches' manager, refused to give up on women's professional baseball and formed this team after the AAGPBL ended in 1954, including many players from the old Peaches team. Allington's All-Americans played men's teams from 1955 through 1958 across the U.S. and into Canada and Mexico. This photo is signed by (left to right) Bill Allington, Jo Weaver, Dottie Schroeder, Katie Horstman, Joan Berger, Gertie Dunn, Ruth Richard, Dolores Lee, Jean Smith, Jean Geissinger, and Maxine Kline.
