Looking Up to Irene Sanvitis (Ruhnke).
Born March 30, 1920 and hailing from Chicago, Irene Sanvitis "Ruhnke Dunk" (Ruhnke) was a right-hander who played utility outfield, second base, and third base for the Rockford Peaches from 1943 to '44 and again in 1947. This photograph looks up at the smiling ball-player with stadium lights visible in the background. Irene passed away on July 13, 1999.
