Draftees Leaving for Camp
WWI soldier draftees leaving for camp by train from the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul Railroad Depot at 609 South Main Street. A large crowd watches their departure. Floyd W. Hanford was in the 2nd coach of train. Hanford was born in Rockford in 1894. He enlisted in the Army on October 16, 1917 and was stationed at Camp Grant.
